Dewatering Systems

Industry-Leading Geotextile Dewatering Systems

When you need premium dewatering systems, put your trust in industry specialists to deliver on their promises. Blue River Technologies has revolutionized processes and transformed the installation and application of geotextile dewatering systems for municipal facilities and larger plants.

Geotextile Basic Container Bag System

The Blue River Technologies geotextile basic container bag system gives small municipal wastewater plants an inexpensive alternative to hauling liquid digested wastewater sludge to offsite dewatering or land applications. Facilities can install this geotextile dewatering bag system on an existing drying bed or a small concrete pad with a drain back to the headworks. It can also be used to stage the roll-off. This process is ideal for small town or village wastewater treatment plants. Use of our equipment results in lower costs and more efficient processes to help maintain municipal budgets. So, if you need all the benefits of a quality dewatering system with a fraction of the budget commitment, this is the perfect option for you.

Hard-Piped Container Bag System

Blue River Technologies developed the hard-piped container bag system for larger plants. Many engineering firms create their designs using the Blue River Technologies hard-piped container bag system as an alternative to more expensive and challenging to maintain mechanical processes. Hard-piped container geotextile bag systems can be designed and installed with multiple roll-off capabilities. The process is simple, and the energy consumption is minimal.

Basic Container Liners

Blue River Technologies manufactures container bag liners for 10-, 20-, and 30-yard dewatering roll-off containers. We can also manufacture the liners for other types and sizes of containers. Liners come in both woven and nonwoven fabrics. Facilities can sometimes use the nonwoven fabrics without adding a flocculant depending on the material type to be dewatered.

Ground/Bed Bag Systems

In some cases, the ground or bed bag system can use larger geotextile bags to dewater over one million gallons of waste-activated sludge. Facilities can stage these wastewater sludge dewatering bags on existing drying beds; a concrete pad or a poured bunker can also hold the bags.
We manufacture bed bags in a standard 30’, 45’, or 60’ circumference and in any length to suit a particular plant’s needs. A 30’ circumference bag will lay out flat to a width of 15’, which is ideal for a sludge drying bed 20’ across. The 45’ circumference bag layout is 22 ½’ wide and will fit perfectly into a 25’ wide bed. Many plants will pour a concrete pad with sidewalls that slope to a grated drain to return clear effluent to the plant's headworks.

Lagoon/Polishing Pond Sludge Removal

The Blue River Technologies Dewatering Tower gives larger plants a way to reuse the geotextile fabric and reduce operating expenses. The bag is suspended in a vertical tower, which significantly increases the fabric's efficiency and produces a drier cake in much less time. The bag is open on all sides and the bottom, which allows the water to escape much faster. The weight of the sludge in the vertical column of the tower also helps to squeeze out free water, producing a drier cake. The tower is ideal for municipal, agricultural, and industrial applications as it maximizes the efficiency of the dewatering process. Because of this, it is a great option to consider when looking to save time and maximize productivity on your jobsite.
